Here are the best ways to maintain healthy hair for your kids:

Hair naturally grows on its own, but here are some tips for proper care and length retention:

Hair should be washed every 1-2 weeks. Wash Day is important because it is an opportunity to remove build up from products and the environment, detangle coils, kinks and curls and impart moisture.

“Pre-Poo” or Pre-Shampoo is any product being applied to the hair before shampooing.  Oils, lotions or conditioners can be used as pre-poos. Co-Washing means washing the hair with conditioner only. This is a great method to refresh curls mid-week for those who prefer wash and go styling. Co-Washing should not replace regular shampooing as it is necessary to remove old oil, build up and dirt from the scalp and hair to promote healthy follicles and proper circulation.  

Skipping conditioning is not recommended. After shampooing, you have removed oil and dirt and the hair cuticle is open and ready to receive moisture. First, apply Just for Me® Curl Peace 5-in-1 Wonder Spray to help protect against heat. Part the hair into four sections. Gently detangle each section, starting at the ends and working your way up. After detangling, grab hair by the ends and stretch, moving the blow dryer up and down the length of the hair from end to root. After selected section is 75% dry, run a paddle brush through the hair simultaneously with the blow dryer. This can also be done with a comb attachment.
